About
Gennaro “Jerry” is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Maryland. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Harry S. Truman, and has been stationed in places such as Norfolk Naval Air station, and Naval Air Station Pensacola.
After the Navy, he completed his Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Drexel University and his Masters degree at The University of Pennsylvania, both in Philadelphia, PA. After completing his board certification, Jerry completed a post graduate residency program with the Center for Family Guidance in New Jersey, to obtain further training treating psychiatric illness with a strong focus on mood disorders and the bipolar spectrum.
Jerry began his nursing career in the emergency room before transitioning to psychiatry, where he has spent the last 6 years in hospital settings, working with geriatric and adult psychiatry patients. His experience includes inpatient care, psychiatric consultations for patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs, and emergency room support for those in psychiatric crises.
Jerry is committed to providing compassionate and individualized care to his patients. He uses evidence-based treatments and works collaboratively with patients to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. Initial Psychiatric Assessment:
Self Pay: $300/ Insurance: Per policy
An initial psychiatric assessment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to understand a patient’s mental health history, current symptoms, and personal concerns, forming the foundation for an individualized treatment plan aimed at enhancing mental well-being. (up to 60 minutes)
Medication Management Follow up:
Self Pay: $150/ Insurance: Per policy
Medication management follow-up involves ongoing assessment and adjustment of prescribed treatments to ensure effectiveness, monitor side effects, and support the patient’s progress toward their mental health goals.
Insurance:
I am in-network with the following insurance companies:
United , Cigna, Carefirst, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO/HMO and Carelon. Billing and insurance verification is completed through Headway before first apointment.

The following conditions require special is creating an additional support services so we are unable to provide in a telehealth only practice, but hope to expand in the future.
